Class R & 1 Outdoor Learning Area Open Day

The children in Class R and Class 1 learnt several songs to sing to parents and special guests at the opening of their 'Outdoor Learning Area' - the songs were all about bears.
The children all brought their special teddy bears to school to our teddy bear themed afternoon, and of course they all sang - 'The Bear Necessities'
We were very honoured to have Ms Lisa Christensen Director of Children's Services as our special guest to open the 'Outdoor Learning Area.
What a treat - we invited our famillies to have lunch with us.
What is it? Of course our messy play today was PORRIDGE! We enjoyed stirring it, dripping it off a spoon, splatting it and of course running it through our fingers! We thought of lots of words to describe it - sloppy, lumpy, soft, squidgy and squelchy.
Bear Paintings.
We had great fun finding the hidden 'Bear Number Cards' outside in the garden and then pegging them on a number line in the correct order. We're so clever we got them right.
We're Going On A Bear Hunt!'
